The City of Victoria manages the Franchise Agreement with the City's cable provider Mediacom.  The main purpose of the franchise agreement is to govern how Mediacom can work in the City's Right-of-Way.  Although there is only one cable provider in Victoria, the franchise agreement is not exclusive and the City could enter into a franchise agreement with other providers should there be interest.
