Community Sponsors

The City of Victoria offers a variety of free community events for the entire family to enjoy.  

In order to accomplish this goal, the City welcomes sponsorships to offset event expenses and to provide quality entertainment.

Fun in the Sun Summer Events
The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation Department hosts fun, family-friendly events throughout the summer in the Fun in the Sun series. These events are free to the community and welcoming to all. A list of the events is available below.

Concerts in the Park
The Parks & Recreation Department will host nine Wednesday evening shows from June through August at the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand, with an approximate attendance of 100-300 people per concert. Some concerts will overlap with the Classic Car Night event hosted by the Victoria Business Association.
Non-Car Show Concert Dates and Time: June 7, June 21, July 19  |  6-8 p.m.
Location: Bayfront Park in Charlson Thun Community Bandstand
Gold sponsors:  Invited to participate in one non-car show event.

Lunch Time Tunes
There are two scheduled lunch time concerts planned at the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand this summer. These shows are typically geared towards children and family audiences. The average attendance is usually between 100-200 people.
Dates and Time: June 21, July 19  |  12-12:45 p.m.
Location: Bayfront Park in Charlson Thun Community Bandstand
Gold sponsors: Invited to participate in one show.

Truck Rodeo
Families get to touch, see, and sit in the vehicles that keep Victoria safe and beautiful. Other entertainment includes a bounce house, ice cream truck, music, and prize giveaways. The approximate attendance last year was between 250-300 people. 
Date and Time: July 20  |  6-8 p.m.
Location: Victoria Recreation Center  |  Back Parking Lot
Gold sponsors: Invited to participate.

Pop-Up Splash Pad
The Victoria Fire Department and the Parks & Recreation Department team up to bring the splash pad to the Victoria Recreation Center for one day. Other entertainment includes a bounce house, ice cream treats, and fun and games while splashing around. The approximate attendance in past years is between 50-200 participants.

Puppets in the Park: The Z Puppets Rosenschnoz
A La Carte:  In a Fool’s Kitchen is a comic battle between a clown, French Chef, and a wily lobster set to live accordion music. This playfully interactive comedy features clowning, puppetry, music, and a few unruly vegetables. This show is meant for families and children over the age of 4 years. This is a first year event, estimated attendance is 200 people.
Date and Time: Aug. 2  |  6:30-7:15 p.m.
Location: Charlson Thun Community Bandstand
Gold sponsors: Invited to participate.




Sponsorship Levels
Basic Level ($100): Provides sponsors with the opportunity to advertise their business logo on the back of the jerseys for players in the Parks & Recreation T-Ball and Coach Pitch programs. There are on average approximately 200 players in the league.

Silver Level ($101-$499): Provides sponsors with the same opportunity as Basic Level sponsors as well as their business listed as a sponsor on marketing for the community events listed above. Marketing materials include posters, flyers, social media events, and the City of Victoria website.

Gold Level ($500 and Over): Provides sponsors with the same opportunity as Silver Level sponsors but also can host a sponsor booth at the events listed above. The City of Victoria will provide a 6-foot table and two chairs. To encourage participation at your sponsor booth, it is recommended that businesses bring giveaway items or host an activity to draw people to you.  




Other Ways to Donate  
In-Kind Donations: The City of Victoria will accept approved goods equivalent to the monetary value of a sponsorship level. Please contact the City of Victoria’s Parks & Recreation Department to see if the in-kind donation is needed before submitting this application.
Private Donations: If you wish to donate to the community anonymously, while still receiving a tax write-off, all donation amounts are welcome. Private donations can be made online at www.ci.victoria.mn.us/registration, search “donation.”




Sponsorship Process
If your business wishes to support community events offered by the City of Victoria Parks and Recreation Department, please complete the following steps.

Step One:  The City of Victoria has several levels of sponsorship. Choose one that works best for your business.
Step Two:   Submit donation payment before May 1, 2023.

  • Online at www.ci.victoria.mn.us/registration. Create an account, then search “sponsorship” in the search bar on the left.
  • Mail check written to “City of Victoria” and registration form to:

Step Three:  Send an electronic copy of your logo to hkaufhold@ci.victoria.mn.us (300ppi as well as 300 pixels wide or 4 inches JPEG or PNG format).
