Preliminary 2025 Budget Discussion
The preliminary 2025 budget discussion provided City Council with preliminary budget projections for the City of Victoria’s 2025 budget.

Discussion Overview

Trisha Pollock, Assistant City Manager, gave an overview of the budget process and shared budget pressures and impacts. Staff sought preliminary feedback concerning the range of property tax levy that would be acceptable and whether Council would like to consider any service level changes for 2025.

Community Impact

The City Council must certify a proposed levy on or before September 30 annually. This workshop is the first of six budget discussions Council is expected to have related to the 2025 budget.

Conditional Use Permit Amendment for Holy Family Catholic High School
The applicant is Holy Family Catholic High School and they are requesting an amendment to their conditional use permit (CUP).

Discussion Overview
The proposed amendment allows for a freestanding dynamic display sign which will be used primarily as a scoreboard in conjunction with the athletic field events. The proposed conditions will allow the installation and use of a larger scoreboard and to provide flexibility to the applicant for replacement scoreboards in the future.

Community Impact
City Council approved the conditional use permit amendment with changes.

Final Plat for Huntersbrook Creekside Fourth Addition
Pat Wrase, Tradition Development, LLC,  submitted a Final Plat application for three executive style lots.

Discussion Overview
Huntersbrook Creekside Fourth Addition is the final of four planned phases of Huntersbrook Creekside. It includes three executive style lots.

Community Impact
City Council approved the Final Plat application with conditions.

Variance for 7321 Tamarack Trail  
Southview Design (on behalf of the property owner) submitted an application requesting the City consider a Variance to the maximum 25% allowed impervious surface amount in the Shoreland Overlay District at 7321 Tamarack Trail.

Discussion Overview
The property is currently noncompliant with an approximate impervious surface coverage of 25.82%, due to a deck and patio expansion in 2014 based on building permit history. With the proposed pool, the property would have an impervious surfacing percentage of approximately 39.09%.

Community Impact
City Council adopted the resolution for the Variance pending engineering criteria to reach the max net impervious surface amount.
