The City of Victoria’s preliminary tax levy (or maximum tax levy) must be certified to Carver County no later than Sept. 30, 2023.

The budget is balanced and enables the City to maintain its current service levels as Victoria continues to grow, as well as implement the Council's adopted strategic priorities.

It is intended to remain in effect until Jan. 1, 2025, by which time the City will have developed a comprehensive ordinance governing the appropriate usage and regulatory framework for cannabis products.
The City adopted an approach to guarantee that any cannabis regulations are thoroughly researched, fitting for the local context, and primarily aimed at safeguarding public health and safety.
