Compost Collection Site

The City of Victoria is opening the compost collection site on weekends throughout the summer and into the fall. The site will be monitored by a security camera and open to Victoria residents for compostable yard waste only. No non-compostable items allowed. The City of Victoria offers this service to its residents as an easy way to dispose of yard waste since it is illegal in Minnesota to put this type of waste in household garbage.
Compostable Yard Waste
Yard waste, no larger than 4" in diameter and cut into 4' lengths, will be accepted at the collection site. All items must be de-bagged (unless they are compostable) before dropping off at the collection site.
Acceptable yard waste items include:
- Grass Clippings
- Leaves
- Plant Trimmings
- Branches
- Organic Garden Debris (Plant Material)
- Chemically Treated Items
- Soil and Dirt

- Cement
- Rocks and Gravel
